How to play

5 quick steps

  1. 1

    Drawing

The game draws a question and the player it's about. A question about a specific person in your crew is created.

  2. 2

    Answers

Each participant writes their answer to the drawn question.

  3. 3

    Anonymous gallery

All answers are displayed to everyone โ€” but without authors. Nobody knows who wrote what.

  4. 4

    Voting

You select one answer, several, or none โ€” depending on the game mode.

  5. 5

    Reveal and points

The authors of the answers are revealed. You see who you voted for and who voted for you. Then, the round summary.

Game modes

Three modes, three different kinds of fun

Each mode distributes points differently and builds excitement differently. Choose the one that suits your crew โ€” or test them all.

01

Choose the best answer

For crews who like funny or absurd answers.

How do we play?

  1. The game draws a player the question is about.
  2. Everyone writes their answer.
  3. Everyone chooses one answer they think is the funniest.

You get exactly as many points as the number of people who voted for your answer.

02

Guess the player's answer

For those who know each other well (or think they do).

How do we play?

  1. The game draws a player the question is about.
  2. Everyone writes their answer.
  3. The spotlight player chooses one answer they like the most. The other players guess which answer belongs to the spotlight player.

Scoring

  • The spotlight player gets 10 pts for everyone who voted for their answer (but 0 pts if everyone guessed it).
  • Everyone who voted for the spotlight player's answer receives 10 pts.
  • The player whose answer was chosen by the spotlight player receives an extra 10 pts.

When you are not the spotlight player, you only get points for guessing the spotlight player's answer! + bonus if the spotlight player chooses your answer

03

Write the player's answer

Game show mode with team play option.

Supports teams and judge

How do we play?

  1. The game draws a player the question is about.
  2. The target player writes an answer truthfully. The others try to write what they think they wrote.
  3. The target player chooses the answers they consider correct.

Scoring

  • The target player gets 10 pts if at least one person wrote the correct answer.
  • Everyone who wrote the correct answer receives 10 pts (or 12 pts in a two-player game).

When you are not the target player, try to write the same answer as them.

Teams and judge

Play your way: teams and judge

Available in "Write the player's answer"

Any teams, zero rigid rules

In the lobby, you set up teams however you want. Classic 2vs2 or 3vs3? Sure. But just as well, one team can have 3 people, another 6, and two people can play solo โ€” all in the same game. Next to each player on the list, you simply choose their team (or leave them solo).

Available in "Write the player's answer"

The whole game about one person

The room owner designates one of the players as the judge. From that moment, every selected question in every round is about them โ€” you could say the whole game is about them. You decide whether the judge writes answers along with the rest, or if the writing phase is skipped for them. Perfect for birthdays, bachelorette parties, or work send-offs.

Two-player gameplay

Play as a Duo โ€” perfect for couples and 2 players

Fox Tales isn't just great entertainment for large groups! The game also works wonderfully in a duo. In the 2-player mode, you answer questions about each other, and the other person decides whether your answer is TRUE or FALSE. It's a perfect way for a date, a cozy evening for two, and lots of laughs while checking how well you know each other.

Game creation menu โ€” AI generation and ready-made catalogs
  • Ready-made catalogs

Choose a ready game from the list of public catalogs โ€” questions and rules are already waiting. Themes range from party, through couple catalogs, to family and team building. A quick ready-made solution when you don't feel like preparing anything.

Currently, public catalogs are system-made. In the future, players will be able to submit their own catalogs to be made public.

  • Our favorite

    AI-generated catalog

Enter the number of players and write what the game should be about โ€” the system will do the rest. AI will generate questions tailored to your crew, place, and vibe, name the catalog, add a description, and set the rules. Waiting for a Harry Potter screening at McDonald's? Just type it in โ€” and you have a game tailored to that moment.

  • Custom game

Panel for advanced users. Freely mix catalogs: public, private, and those shared by other players. Allow others to add their own questions and catalogs, turn on the waiting room to personally let players into the room, and finally choose the game mode. Experiment and invent various gameplay variants!

AI Magic

Create your own crazy scenarios

Don't limit yourself to ready-made questions! Describe any situation โ€“ a trip to the mountains, a visit to the in-laws, or a late-night food run โ€“ and AI Magic will instantly generate hilarious questions featuring your crew. Right in the game!

Shared question pool

One game, questions from everyone

If the room owner allows it, any player can throw their own questions or even entirely pre-prepared catalogs into the upcoming game. Everything mixes in a shared pool, and players' names are automatically inserted into the questions. And if the question's creator didn't leave room for a name โ€” the question remains general, which also has its charm.

Real-life example

Kate throws a housewarming party with a Harry Potter theme. Anna creates a Harry Potter catalog, Henry โ€” a Kate's Housewarming catalog. On the spot, Kate creates a room and allows adding questions. Anna and Henry connect their catalogs, Kate starts the game โ€” and questions are drawn from both catalogs at once.

One-shot questions โ€” created on the fly

Don't want to clutter the library or didn't feel like preparing anything earlier? Create questions directly in the session. They only exist for the upcoming game โ€” when the game ends, they disappear with it. Perfect for spontaneous one-shots.

Library

Your library: create, collect, share

In the library, every player can become a creator. Write your own questions, pack them into catalogs, and share them with the community โ€” or keep them to yourself and pull them out for the right occasions. You can also save catalogs shared by others in your own library.

Three little foxes creating catalogs

Instant adding

Right after entering the library, a field expands encouraging you to add a question. You can add it just like that or immediately assign it to one or more catalogs. The catalog selection doesn't reset after confirmation โ€” subsequent questions fall in smoothly one after another, and entire catalogs are created in minutes.

List management

Below the add field is a list of all your questions, from newest to oldest. Delete them individually or in bulk, assign them to one or many catalogs at once. Selecting a question opens the management panel where you add or remove them from catalogs.

Catalogs and links

When creating a catalog, you give it a title and description, choose recommended game rules, and complete questions from the list. You can share the catalog via a link โ€” other players will play it with their crews or save it to their own libraries. You have full control: at any time you can revoke someone's access, turn off sharing, restore it, or regenerate the link.

No language barriers

No language barriers

We focus on breaking down borders. Play with people from all over the world, and read questions and answers in your native language. During the game, you can preview other players' answers in the original language at any time.

In your account settings, you choose whether other players' answers are translated by a translator or AI โ€” or you can turn off translations completely. Questions and catalogs are automatically translated upon creation into all languages available in the app.

๐ŸŽ‰
That was epic!
Memories

Capture the best moments

An answer dropped that cracked up the whole crew? Immortalize it. During the game, with one move, you can generate a link to that moment and send it to whoever you want. You can also save the memory in your private library and return to it whenever nostalgia hits. Got bored of it? Delete it. Want to remind someone of that action? Send it again.

Little things that make a difference

Small but nice

  • Flexible game length

Plenty of questions left in the pool and you feel like changing the vibe? Adjust the number of rounds at any time, even right in the middle of the game.

  • Room boss

A friend fell asleep or went for pizza in the middle of a round? As the host, you have privileges to remove ghost players with one click and continue playing without downtime.

  • Skipping questions

Want to see if the next question will spark an even hotter discussion at the table? You have full freedom โ€“ skip questions on the fly and choose what suits you best from the pool.

Account and privacy

How do account and privacy work in Fox Tales?

Login and accounts

Create a permanent account or jump into the game as a guest โ€” on a temporary account that expires after logging out or after 24 hours. Liked it? You can convert a temporary account into a permanent one without losing anything. And remember: you install nothing, the game runs fully in the browser.

Privacy

We highly value your privacy. In your account settings, you can change the visibility of your username at any time. With one click, you can anonymize all the materials you have shared or in which you appear โ€” your name will then be replaced by Anonymous Fox.

You can change your username at any time โ€” the choice at registration is not final. The name is unique: no two players have the same one.

Avatars

Give your profile some character โ€” choose your fox as an avatar. There are 5 to start with, and more will be added in the future, including unique ones.

Quality and moderation

How do we ensure content quality and moderation?

You can like good questions, and dislike bad ones, marking the reason: grammatical error, mismatch with the game rules, or the catalog's theme. Thanks to this, the best content floats to the top.

Questions, catalogs, and memories can be reported to the administration โ€” we take abuse seriously. Additionally, every published piece of content is automatically scanned by AI and blocks the toxic ones before anyone sees them.

Referral system

How does the referral system work in Fox Tales?

We record who brought whom to the game โ€” and we are preparing cool thank-yous for the most active referrers in the future. We approached the topic carefully: it's not just the classic invite link that counts.

A new player will be credited to your account when:

  • you invited them to your game,
  • they landed in the app via a memory you shared,
  • they played your shared catalog and created an account (or created one to add the catalog to their library),
  • they entered from the footer that is automatically generated when you share any of your content,
  • or they simply clicked your regular invite to the app.

How can you contact us?

We value direct contact with players, which is why you can send a message to our inbox straight from the app. Did something intrigue you, surprise you, or did you especially like something? Write to us! Did you see a bug? Even more so. We will do our best to make the game the best it can be for everyone.
